Puppies and other dogs for sale

Thank you for enquiring about our breed. If there are litters and other stock for sale, information will be found here. The list is updated periodically. Whilst those people listed are members of the Smooth Collie Club, the Club is not able to 'recommend' breeders.

It is important that you should, wherever possible visit the breeder so that you can see the puppies, as a litter with their mother, and on the breeder's premises. Even though you may have to make considerable effort to visit the breeder, it will be in your best interest to take as much trouble as possible to find the right puppy to suit your circumstances.

When you buy your puppy, the breeder should give you as a minimum the following written information:

-  A pedigree
-  A diet sheet (and preferably a few days worth of food)
-  A receipt for your payment

The breeder may also give you:

-  The Kennel Club registration form (but sometimes these are not received by the breeder until later)
-  A BVA/KC (British Veterinary Association/Kennel Club) certificate of freedom from CEA (Collie Eye Anomaly) and other inherited eye diseases
-  An inoculation certificate if applicable

Adorable puppies!

The breeder should also tell you about inoculations, worming, feeding, grooming and exercise needs and should encourage you to contact them if you experience any problems at any time in the future. If at all possible, all responsible breeders will take back any puppy or dog that they sell should this become necessary.

The Smooth Collie Club of Great Britain hopes that you find a puppy or older dog to suit you. Please contact our Puppy Register Co-ordinator, Penny Sewell, on 01844 339744 for information about the availability of puppies or older stock.
